OUT 09.13.11
In 2010, Jim Matheos (current member of the progressive rock powerhouse Fates Warning and OSI) and John Arch (former vocalist of Fates Warning) teamed up to form the new progressive metal band, ARCH/ MATHEOS who are preparing for a monstrous progressive release of “Sympathetic Resonance” OUT 09.13.11
The group's talent and versatility is apparent on their debut long-player, Sympathetic Resonance, which clocks in at just shy of 55 minutes. Jim Matheos notes; "a lot these songs, Neurotically Wired, Midnight Serenade, Stained Glass Sky, and parts of others, started off as material for the next Fates Warning record.

Charging out of the late 90s Massachusetts underground in a storm of thunderous riffs and focused aggression, in 2011 Unearth proudly stand at the forefront of modern metal. With Darkness In the Light, their fifth full-length, the quintet have delivered their most honest, powerful, and compelling statement to date, driving a fist into the collective gut of every image-obsessed wannabe metal band currently cluttering up the landscape, and setting a new standard when it comes to marrying precision brute force and exhilarating melody.
Darkness In The Light is set to be an album that will take the aband around the world and undoubtedly leave a trail of mosh pit devastation in their wake. Thirteen years into their career Unearth are more driven and determined than ever, ensuring that their fans get exactly what they crave from their heroes. “A lot of bands come and go, and it’s tough to make a living in heavy metal right now,” McGrath states. “But we’re still touring because we love it, and as long as there’s people out there who appreciate what we do we’ll keep on going. We just made the best record of our career and we want as many people to hear it as possible, so come on, let’s go.”

Don’t forget to catch Unearth on 07. 24 @ Parc JeanDrapeau for HEAVY MTL where they will be performing along side KISS, Disturbed, Billy Talent, Motorhead and many, many more so don’t miss out!!
The face-melting Detroit quintet has made a career out of being unpredictable -- as well as unhinged, unclassifiable and unrepentant, all in the best possible ways. But with RITUAL, its fifth full-length album, the extreme metal troupe found fertile territory in the wide world of those prescribed practices that would seem verboten to a band that's always marched to the double-time beat of its own drummer. And in doing so it's come up with what front man Trevor Strnad considers "the most focused Black Dahlia Murder strike of all time."
Ritual is a collection of 12 tracks that see the band staying true to their sound and style while progressing in both writing and musicianship. Guitarist Ryan Knight has delivered truly searing leads that will without a doubt daze and lay waste the ears of both loyal Black Dahlia diehards and burgeoning fans alike.
Moonlight Equilibrium is now streaming along side a video of classic antics, crushing studio footage, and pre sale options, all available here for you to enjoy: http://www.metalblade.com/bdm/
Don’t forget that you can catch TBDM live at this year’s Summer Slaughter Tour where they will perform with label-mates Whitechapel and Six Feet Under in addition to Darkest Hour, Dying Fetus.
With the volume, technicality and intensity that embodies heavy metal and the overarching catchiness and longevity of stoner and classic rock, Barn Burner capture a signature sound that cannot be easily placed or categorized.
"Huge groovy riffs that would make Phil Lynott proud." Craveonline.com
While maintaining some of the core aspects of their previous record, Barn Burner have captured something more intense, taking steps to create an album more dynamic then their last. Having already toured Canada, the U.S. and Europe with the likes of Priestess, Bison B.C., and 3 inches of Blood, Barn Burner intend to continue its war path in support of the Metal Blade release of Bangers II: Scum Of The Earth (6.07.11)
